Its purpose extends beyond outstanding contributions to the sustainable development of our forests; it encompasses work with a gender-focused approach. These women have not only made a positive impact on forest management but have also been instrumental in spotlighting and empowering other women in the field, paving the way and advocating gender equity in the forestry sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an original initiative by <a href=\"https:\/\/mujerforestal.com\/en\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/mujerforestal.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MujerForestal &#8211; 100% Bosque<\/strong><\/a>, the Women in Forestry Award had its inaugural ceremony in Colombia on December 1, 2023. This pioneering milestone aims to transcend boundaries and expand to other Latin American countries, demonstrating the commitment to acknowledging female leadership in the forestry sector across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although spearheaded by MujerForestal &#8211; 100% Bosque, this initiative presents an opportunity to forge partnerships with other organizations and conduct collaborative award ceremonies. The first ceremony took place in Colombia in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acif.com.co\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.acif.com.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Colombian Association of Forestry Engineers &#8211; ACIF<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selection process begins with inviting women who meet the established criteria based on their leadership, contribution to sustainable forest development, and focus on gender equity. Subsequently, the selection process involves voting, which can be conducted openly or in coordination with the organization responsible for the award ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We appreciate your participation in celebrating female leadership in the forestry sector.
